I saw this little shit last night, and he's back again tonight. Clearly, 7 legs is enough to get by. He's fast too. This was the only not blurry pic I could get.

...btw, if you dorks don't regularly go outside at night with a powerful flashlight to investigate critter activity, you might be missing out. There's a whole big little world out there.
After dark, I always verify the toad's location before letting the dogs out, so that I can protect him from their predatory impulses, and so I can protect the dogs from whatever biochemical defenses this toad may be capable of deploying. Well, tonight, I found him hopping around on the freshly cut lawn. Probably some good bugs in the grass, and/or maybe he just likes the short grass. Either way, good toad.
Little bro has been on a bulk all week, pounding bugs from dusk till dawn. The dogs aren't that curious about him anymore, and I make sure they move along if he catches their attention. I suspect he's probably feeling pretty cozy here.
