I know it came out years ago but I picked up for cheap a little while ago and figured I'd give it a try. I played Far Cry 1,2 and 3 and enjoyed them.
First off, who knew there were that many niggers in Montana, about half the population. Not a lot of spics, chinks and very few kikes. The lead character is a woman, of course, but they almost never show the main character, so it's bearable.
The graphics and scenery were very good but nothing mind blowing. It's basically Skyrim/Fallout 4 but in Montana. Go on main missions, do side quests, level up, all the basic shit. I don't think it was as good as Skyrim or Fallout 4, but it had it's moments.
I think the most disappointing thing about all these cookie cutter sandbox/mission games is that the environments are always static. Night and day sure, but never any seasons and when they do have weather events, it hardly has any effect on the environment beyond not seeing well. Winter in Montana with freezing weather, icy roads, wind gusts, and avalanches. Spring with floods. Summer with massive forest fires and Fall where everything is dead and animals are hungry. I wish they would break out of the cookie-cutter phase and try something new once in awhile.

I couldn't agree more with sandbox just being to static, i always thought RDR2 would of been far more amazing if they had a focus on the seasons and the way life changed around those seasons.
just imagine flood plains and whole sections of the map now require a boat to get to.
I personally prefer well crafted levels like deus ex rather than open world stuff, you cant hide hidden and secret paths in the open world, there is usually 10000 ways to reach the same destination in an open world. It never opens up to you like well crafted maps.
I think open world would be great if it actually meant your actions/decisions had a long term affect on the game. Fallout 4 had 3 storylines, but everything was scripted and based on you picking a dialogue option. I want an open world game where I accidentally knock a tree over into a river, it slowly builds up water and other debris and later breaks flooding a town and killing everybody. Since I would be somewhere else in the game when the flood happaned, I wouldn't even know it happened, I would just later come across a completely flooded town with a bunch of dead bodies floating everywhere and have no idea why it was even in the game.
Maybe I fucked up somewhere in the beginning or thought I wanted to stare at a chicks ass instead of a dudes but somehow I ended up with a woman, they kept calling her rook. Good to know you can choose a white man, +1 points for my review.
