i lost smell and taste a couple years ago with my mild, unvaxxed jew flu. they have mostly come back but certain things permanently smell/taste different now. gasoline and other hydrocarbons smell very different to me now. foods that taste significantly different now - jalepeño peppers, tomatoes, vermouth, cilantro and dijon mustard to name a few.

Yeah just ram a rod up your nose into your nerves used for smelling anything. We promise nothing bad is going to happen like your sense of smell dissapears FOREVA.... The PCR tests is an obvious reason for this bullshit.

Mt mom still can't smell or taste after a year and a half.

"Loss of taste" bullshit. My cousins dumbass girlfriend said she lost her taste completely. So I took out a bottle of mad dog and said try this, I bet you'll taste it. Obviously she shut the fuck up after that.

Drinking games? Loser takes a shot of mad dog?

While I didn't lose my taste, it did significantly change for a couple of months when I got sick. Some dummies might just say "lost taste" instead of "significantly impaired taste with minimized olfactory sensing."

It sure fucked up my taste for beer for a couple of years. Better now, but not like it used to be.

Well if they'd worn a mask and got vaccinated this would never have happened. Not sympathetic!

Are you doing shtick?

And, are you?

[ - ] paul_neri -1 points 2.0 yearsJun 19, 2023 02:45:44 ago (+1/-2)*

Not on this occasion.Don't you see the connection? Americans contract the Covid and whinge about its effects. I say don't catch the Covid in the first place then - wear a mask/get vaxxed. But Americans also complained about that too! Serves them right!

Edit: some anecdotal evidence that masking/vaxxing may protect against the Covid, and I do like talking about myself; I have worn a mask in crowded places religiously since the start of the pandemic and I'm vaxxed x 5. To the best of my knowledge I have not caught the Covid (probably more due to being a Recluse).

You say the shot prevents covid?

Curious - Were you not made aware CDC backpeddled on that claim? The official story is that it lessens the symptoms, that it specifically doesn't prevent the spread of the disease.

[ - ] paul_neri -1 points 2.0 yearsJun 19, 2023 02:55:08 ago (+1/-2)

Well...this is what the John Hopkins University says:

Does the COVID vaccine prevent infection or disease?
Vaccines stimulate the human body's own protective immune responses so that, if a person is infected with a pathogen, the immune system can quickly prevent the infection from spreading within the body and causing disease.

Ok, her opinion but we need a preponderance of medico-scientific opinion.
