I was slicing leeks the other day for a garnish and accidentally shaved a good chunk off. I wasn’t using my knuckles and relied on my nails for less than a second. They’re precious and can hurt.

really good knives are notorious for chopping off pieces of fingers.

Which one did it? Mine was a tojiro. took off a whole top once. Nail and all. I figured I must be half lizard after everything grew back normally.
