I just changed my oil and so currently smell like an oil slick, despite washing with dawn soap. Best part was having my daughter come out and help me as she wanted to learn how to change the car oil.

She not only cracked me up multiple times, but her sharp eyes noted that I had a pushpin missing under my undercarriage and part of the plastic shield was hanging down. As we were putting stuff away, I found a couple of extra plastic pins in the basement and she said "look, you can pin that plastic shield back up (it was only missing one pin). I looked at the car which was now off of the stands and so low to the ground and said, "No way in hell my wide ass would fit under there" (I'm currently 164 and somewhat slimish)...she replied: "Mine would, I'll fix it for you daddy". My heart went out and realized that the 4" clearance still might not be enough for her.....and even if she could do it she'd be filthy afterwards".

I thanked her from the bottom of my heart and gave her a hug, thankful. Told her next time we get it up again, I'd love her help......don't ya just love kids? Worst part was she questioned if I was spinning the old oil filter the correct direction to remove it....I was not, I was tighting it as it turned out, and she was correct! Had to use a filter wrench to remove it. LOL

The stuff works. Keep a bottle near the kitchen sink, away from other stuff as everything around it tends to collect grease/oil.

A plumber once showed me that if you ever question it, reach your hand out to turn it like you were going to hand tighten it. Don't think about it. Just do it. Your hand 'just knows'. It will always recognize which way to turn the nut or whatever.

"Dates" for us usually involves something like going to Costco.

Every time Mrs. Fash and I go out on an actual date, we always end up thinking about how much the kids would enjoy whatever it is we're doing and wishing we'd brought them with us.

No it sucks and the older I get the more I don't like driving it. I know enough to avoid scraping on speed bumps and inclines. What I don't like is when other drivers piss me off the next thing I know is I'm doing 110. Even at that speed the car is calling me a pussy and its just barely getting started. That fucking thing just want to go faster no matter how fast you are going. I hit one forty once before all the crazy upgrades,

After replacing all my gas powered yard and snow equipment with battery powered equipment, I have no doubt that batteries, specially when they release solid state batteries, will absolutely end gas engines and oil changes. I'm glad I learned how to write with a pencil/pen, but I haven't touched either in the last 10 years at work and I wonder alternate skills I could have learned in the place of thousands of hours practicing writing with my hand.

Smaller, safer, faster charging, half the weight and will replace lithium ion lead acid batteries. I imagine that they will improve over time as well, making combustion engines go the way of the horse.

I'm with ya on the battery thing Swej_ehtsag. Wifes car is a new Tesla Y. She and I were going to the store the other day that has several long straightways, she prefers I drive and I oblige her on that. Off one light, fella in a classic Barracuda smoked them off the line and took it well up over 80-90 making the usual classic sweet high engine noise taking it through the gears. We caught up to him the next light. Fella had his tattooed arm out the open window holding a cig.

The Y does 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds. So I did that as the light turned and he stomped on the gas pedal again. @5 seconds later I shut it down at 65 MPH (it was a 45 zone) and as I was dropping it back to speed dude finally caught and passed me. Wife expressed some dislike at my behavior and then laughed about it and talked about what that dude must have experienced all the way to the store.

We also have a 4 x 4 Tacoma offroad truck that is a pleasure to get under as it's so high up, however, it's a 2023 and the dealer is changing oil and doing maintenance for free.

Hope you're wearing gloves. If not, get those thick ones with long sleeves to prevent oil from touching your skin. Oil is cancerous. I did many oil changes in my life and my right hand gets dry easily because of it. That old, nasty oil that ran down my bare hand absorbed into my skin.
