I love the self-satisfied smiles each of the other girls has when she says this. Because deep down all of this woke 'let me support my killers' shit is actually an implicit brag. It's all status-oriented, and it is deeply Christian (even if these people don't self-consciously identify that way). It's the God-likeness of sacrificiality. The only person who can afford to sacrifice his life is God, one who has necessary certainty he can't die. All of this is a costly display by a bunch of women who are too agreeable to just brag the old-fashioned way. They have to brag by giving it away (because they think it's never-ending, because they have no intrinsic concept of how they arrived in the land of plenty, i.e., men sacrificing generation after generation).
