Many of us have devices on consumer grade routers and even fewer are allowing any sort of port forwarding. Are these routers generally safe?
I’ve had security autists ramble on and on that the shit isn’t safe by any measure. Though I reckon 99.9% of compromises are the result of social engineering.
Why are they calling NAT unsafe? Network Address Translation is used literally everywhere.
Consumer routers do suck, but I dont think its because of NAT. Also, Nowadays, a consumer is expected to be full retard, so consumer gear defaults are a bit more cautious than they were in the past decades.
If a system is connected to a network it is no longer secure.
Security and privacy are buzzwords 99.9% of the population use without any understanding of the words definitions and how they are used in the field of Information Technology.
Live monitoring is as good as it gets. If you have sensitive data it should be double vaulted backed up for DRP and always airgaped.
Physical Security is key. Social Engineering is most common attack vector. Other attacks are typically broad sweeping botnets looking for vulnerable systems to add to its collective.
The field is full of faggots and boomers and genxboomers and foids. The technology is used to genocide Whites.
There will be no internet unless there exists full accountability in the Potato Reich.
