First in your life are those with the character of a "leaf". They come into your life for a season, take what they need and put on a beautiful act when the season changes...the moment it gets cold or a heavy wind blows they're gone.

Then there's those who are solid as a "branch". Stronger than the leaf and they may stay around longer but they have to be tested over time for strength, eventually they bend and break under heavy load and are of no more use to the tree.

Lastly, there's the few in your life who are solid as a root...unseen, solid anchor and the strength to support the weight it carries.

The root of the tree stays with it's stump until both have succumbed to the ravages of time.

The forest is large but it has a lot of weak trees.
