The biggest concern for me with any android version is what's going to happen in September when android stops allowing side loading of apps on YOUR device?. I used to mess around with android years ago with installing custom roms, kernels etc, that's what bought me to android, the fact that you could make your device how you wanted it to be. I'm hoping that when they lock the base android down, groups like graphene, nothing phone(others also) can continue using android how they do. I suspect that changes will happen however and they will get stuck using an older version of Android, hopefully I'm wrong, I really don't know enough about it to say anything with confidence. Just used to love messing with all that stuff and being able to!.

The September deadline is only if you're in Southeast Asia, and also you'll still be able to sideload. You just have to turn on full blown dev mode, rather than checking a box in the settings menu.

sideload

what the fuck is sideload? Don't use that gay retard word. That's like saying high capacity magazine instead of standard capacity magazine.

On windows do you sideload applications? On mac do you do that? On linux do you sideload applications? No, you just fucking install them. So why switch up for android (which is based on linux)? Do better sweaty.

@BMN003 you too sweaty

On linux do you sideload applications

Uh, yeah, if you're using a flatpack or tarball. I'm not sure you know what you're talking about here.

[ - ] Kozel [op] -2 points 6 daysMar 4, 2026 01:25:06 ago (+0/-2)

Ok dumbfuck which command is the correct syntax

flatpak install flathub com.stfu.faggot

or

flatpak sideload flathub com.stfu.faggot

Which one of these URLs works?

https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.github.huluti.Curtail/install

or

https://flathub.org/en/apps/com.github.huluti.Curtail/sideload

???

And about that tarball, does it come with an INSTALL file or a SIDELOAD file?

In conclusion, you're a faggot and must stfu

Try feeding that command to a fresh install of any distro and you'll get

unrecognized command

You have to install Flatpak first, and to do that you're going to use... apt or pamac.

mic drop

You have to install

my point exactly

you install it

no such thing as sideload

sideload is a jewish term meant to delegitimize installing applications that do not come from an app store

Once again I am reasonably sure that you don't know what you're talking about. Linux distros invented the app store, sir, long before anything on it was for sale. I suspect you just Googled "flatpack" and copy-pasted that command.

Do you know what they used to call inserting removable media to install an OS to a fixed disk? Front-loading.

You're raging against a bit of jargon that became popular after people started using basically tarballs on ARM Linux to bypass the default package manager on the distro. Meanwhile desktop Linux users had been doing the same thing for decades, they just hadn't called it sideloading yet.

Touche good sir, I am enlightened by this historical tidbit and thank you for the lesson. That said, I am deeply offended by the notion that I do not use Linux. I will have you know I run Artix Linux and will offer irrefutable evidence therof: https://litter.catbox.moe/lcufnqvvas0y69e5.png

Then I retract my jab about Googling the command. You have my apologies. But yes, I am unbothered by the term "sideloading" because in my opinion it describes something Linux users have been doing since Blackberry was the only word in handheld operating systems.

I wouldn't know about a Mac, I haven't reached that level of gayness yet. Have you pissed your panties again?, you sound like you're throwing a hissy fit over a word, deal with it, people use many expressions to describe things (I'm biting my lip , resisting the temptation to make this witty)).
Side loading is the term I've always heard used, I will get everyone that I've ever heard use the term to use whichever word you suggest, would that be okKozzy?.

You're sounding like our resident woman(p.neri(looking at you!)). This is the type of outburst one would expect from him.

Ok, I'm bored now. My original comment stands without any attempt at explanation.

sideloading is a jewish term

if you're going to adopt this term then go ahead and adopt other jewish terms like homoPHOBIA, misgendering, mansplaining, high capacity magazine, and all manner of anti-White bullshit terms since you have no problem deploying language inherently hostile to your existence, faggot.

Fuck me dude, jog on.

[ - ] Kozel [op] 0 points 5 daysMar 5, 2026 02:55:52 ago (+0/-0)

Does that mean you concur with my position or dismiss it?

Motorola is ungoogling, but they're also upgrading their enterprise rootkits.

Kinda torn.

I've been using Motorola for most of the time I've had a cellular phone.

Rip what? Graphene is great secure phone os been using it for years.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 1 weekMar 3, 2026 01:49:32 ago (+1/-0)

Like Samsung buying Pine and celebrating.

Its mandatory for U.S. conglomerates to spy and backdoor their customers.

Graphene will be dead for what you really wanted it for in 2 more revisions

[ - ] RevengeOfNeri 1 point 1 weekMar 3, 2026 02:35:42 ago (+1/-0)

Unlike Pine Motorola is not buying the Graphene foundation
