The US engineered a false flag attack on 9/11 and used that as an excuse to invade Afghanistan and stop the pipeline Iran and China were planning.

Not just oil, but a lot of their cheap chinese crap goes through there.

The Vladivostok oil and LNG terminal says hi.

Blocking gulf oil...is musoc to russias ears. They have terminals already in aisa + land and rail connections...

~18% of China's crude comes from Iran, and it is at a heavily discounted price due to their ability to skirt U.S. Sanctions.

It isn't a country crippling amount but it is still enough to fuck over their economy in the long term.

China is connected to Russia, and its oil directly via multiple rail links and existing pipelines.

Buying iranian oil was to keep the iranians in play. To keep them buyung chinese goods.

Thanks to china via Biden starting the ukraine war, russian oil and gas is already shifted towards China

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 2 points 1 weekMar 3, 2026 14:29:13 ago (+2/-0)

That doesn't change that fact that China will have to find a replacement to that ~18% of their imported crude oil once supplied by Iran.

You don't know if Russia is even capable of ramping up their production, and transport of oil exports in the short term.

Oil is not scarce. Russia has plenty, they'll be able to supply that 18%. China will notice an 18% increase in their cost and life will continue.

You don't understand. I am not debating if they have more oil in the ground.

I am saying that Russia might not have the capacity to increase their current oil extraction, and transportation infrastructure by an extra 18%.

It takes a huge network of support to do that.

You don't understand, Russia has enough oil.

'panics', lol

[ - ] NoEvidenceForHallOfCost 0 points 6 daysMar 3, 2026 20:13:19 ago (+0/-0)

Are they really paniced? China is number 1 in electric vehicles. They are also leaders in nuclear and hydropower.

Also, the AI indicates that CNPC (the top chinese oil company) operates in 30 countries and has 3.4 trillion dollars in revenue.

I think maybe high oil prices will have only a limited impact on China.

China has oil too. What is the problem?

[ - ] Leveraction 0 points 1 weekMar 3, 2026 13:03:32 ago (+0/-0)

Hence the reason Trump has bombed china, i mean Iran. One and the same.
