Some recent examples of redress schemes have been for children thrown to the Catholic clergy wolves over the abuse they suffered, people whose houses are falling down due to being built with shite brick, women who unnecessarily suffered symphiosity during childbirth. Redress schemes are expensive and embarrassing for the political class and are not discussed lightly. Discussions about a redress scheme for those who have suffered unnecessarily from covid jabs appear to have now begun in earnest.
