You can watch our news live and just listen to these people. Because we dont have anywhere else to go. It is our home, where we grew up and while I get that doesn't mean much to some people.
It does to people in Oklahoma. People in Kansas, many southern states even. We care about each other.
Lots of Joplin is still the way it was after that day, its why I made this post. With the current way our system is, no one will make it out safe and intact.
Big problem is that more people dont take it seriously. I am not saying you need to freak out and panic, but it is detrimental to stay aware on days like this.
Look at the homes in this recent tornado. They were torn to foundation. In 1999 when the big one hit Moore Oklahoma it was an F5. Mr mother fucker tornado and did the same.
That London KY one had 136 to 165mph wind speeds. The 1999 Moore tornado had 321mph core wind speeds.
Homes now are made of paper mache and toothpicks. Biggest problem with these long track tornadoes that are happening quite often is that they pick up all that shit and toss it around.
Makes it a blender, you see the cow that cought a 2x4? Imagine that going 300mph and hitting something fleshy.
Most of the storm chasers in interviews say they do it because someone has to. Radar can only give you a quarter mile approximate. Granted that recently tornado sizes span a half mile wide, but spotters are angels in this time of year.
Na just do as I have learned, help those willing to accept it, dont waste time on the others. Story as old as voat has been whoaverse and She was the biggest problem.
Some people thrive on misery and delight in aminosity.
Worse is of they flood with something blocking the door. After May 3rd 1999 when the big one hit, not long after another one hit same area, that happened to many people.
The city of moore demanded that new construction homes have a storm shelter, so they did on the garage. When the Bridgecreek tornado hit lots of problems.
No, you are such a fucking woman....you want me to wish ill will on you so that you can bitch more. My statement was so that you have good fortune when something does happen.
You seem to have all the data you need and anything I said is "anecdotes" so I hope you fair well.
Don't know anything about conspiracy theories, I just know how fucked a homeowner truly is when this happens. Insurance company is going to fight you tooth and nail.
If a renter, worse case is you lose all your shit.
Often times a bathroom is built along exterior facing walls. In Piedmont many years ago a tornado came through and damn near 12ft high and 5ft wide of bricks fell into that bathroom.
Or they fall outward if the winds and direction are favorable for it.
Meaning you will likely get hit by debris, it is best to stay center of house in a hallway with doors closed to mitigate debris like glass or riding mowers.

Was in the early 90s that I saw it, but some pineapple size hail was in Texas last June...it was massive.

Good news is that radar imagery can show hail cores in black and deep purple now, they can see debris balls from tornados up to an F2 now as well.
They can also predict the size of the hail stones in storms pretty accurate.

It can be no doubt. However it is important to remember that this happens to people, good and bad.
It will likely happen to them today.
