I had this problem at a fed ex shipping store. I called before I went and asked specifically if they accepted cash. They told me yes, of course. Well, I get there, pack up my things in a box, tape them shut nice and tightly. Get to the counter, go through all the crap of answering questions about not shipping anything illegal or explosives. Kid tells me to swipe for payment. They don’t accept cash. Told him I specifically called about this. They do accept cash but not at this location. Thank God there was an elderly gentleman who offered to use his card for me and I gave him my cash. I even offered the nice guy an extra $20.00, he refused to take it. Moments like that make me feel like there are still decent people in this country.

Back when I was a kid, we’d call a nickel a freedom. You’d ask for change of a quarter such as “ give me 5 freedoms for a quarter please for the bus”. Then I would stuff my freedoms into a sack tied to my belt. A belt was made out of onions back then, of course that being the style at the time.

I really don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about anymore

It’s almost like the world needed a diversion from this. Maybe a military situation in the Middle East would do the trick.

You are just a number. I work in a lower government job, years ago a friend was killed while working. The central office called our section to get his information, to take him off the clock at the time of his death. Just a number man, nothing more.

Mainstream media says 13 dead, this article says at least 40 dead. That still sounds low as to what some of the videos are showing. Then again, not sure if the videos are showing actually footage or some older footage. Can’t believe everything I read or see.

The comments on the twatter link say it’s not the actual video. It’s from some older footage.

I’m reading it was possibly 13 killed. That might have been an understatement.

They have middle America by the balls. I know so many people who either get the damn vaccine or can’t work at their current job. People with sick children who need the medical coverage. I can’t fault them for putting their lives at risk to save their children. It’s a difficult choice but I don’t know one parent who wouldn’t get it for the betterment of their children’s lives.

I second this. Me and the wife took a trip away from the northeast a couple of summers ago. Headed west, found a beautiful little town to spend a few days in. Read that they were having a carnival one night. We went, drove along a two lane road for an hour. When we arrived, gave the donation to go in. We were beaming with pride when all we saw were white families, girls and guys on dates holding hands. Real people having a great time. No groups of thugs roaming the place, no loud garbage music. We spent 4 hours eating great food, playing games and going on rides. It was one of the most memorable nights we had as a married man and woman. Was sad to leave but we plan on heading back that way when we are able to retire and leave the nightmare of the northeast.
