I've heard that doctors and hospitals in general just want to default to the C section now. They'll take any excuse they can come up with to recommend it. It's safer and easier FOR THEM. Much less liability.

A few years ago something I read (can't remember now) put that nasty little splinter into my brain that organs are big business. Once I was young and naive and wouldn't of thought twice about it, but by then I was older and much more cynical. I understood that any excuse to let me die so they could take my organs could be seized upon. And who would gainsay them? We've all been condition to believe absolutely in the judgement of the doctor. A few days later I went and changed my organ donor status for that exact reason. I just could shake the idea that I could be allowed to die for my heart and kidneys and no one would do anything to stop it.
