Turns out all the bad public publicity led to the US launching multiple investigations and court cases against them. The end result is the company broke apart and rebranded several times, with many of its members going off to other groups.
I'm sure there is another piece of shit PMC that has replaced them, but from everything I've seen, Blackwater itself appears dead.
