A long time favorite song. This song came out when jazz music first became popular. And just like with all of us, he's complaining in a humorous way about the new music. We all prefer the musical style we grew up with, so when music changes dramatically, the kids love it and the adults hate it.

Enjoy!

I first heard this, and this version, on Dr Demento decades ago. I listened to his show mainly to hear these old forgotten gems.

When punk was turning into 'new wave' music, this was the song they all needed.

My favorite punk band.

I have an Edison wax cylinder gramophone (1907) and this record (1911). Funny song if you can make out the words.
