Faith Without Works Is Dead

Weirdest part: It makes no sense.

Here's a question: Why do so many White people still vote Democrat? It's a sizable minority, and questions of election integrity aside, the trend is in favor of Democrats, especially the group known as "college-educated" Whites. College educated really means Marxist indoctrinated, so it can't be a surprise that so many of them both recognize a fellow Marxist and then vote for him. But among the non-college-educated White voting block, that's where the real news is hidden.

Obama won an extremely sizable number of this vote: 40%, which was largely responsible for propelling him to victory — twice. Hillary lost ground with them, specifically gaining only 36% of them in 2016. But in 2020, Biden stopped the bleeding and improved a bit, getting 37% of White non-college-educated voters. This is important for two reasons.

Celebrate Our Lady's birthday today.

We've been saying all week, in the lead-up to today's Vortex, that today is the day the Church sets aside to honor the birthday of Mary, the Mother of God.

So a happy feast day to all of you and happy birthday to you, Blessed Mommy. And no, you shouldn't ask her how old she is. Just say the truth: Whatever your age, you look beautiful!

Now the true believers and followers of Christ have many times and in many places endured persecution by, shall we just say, "the State." Even before Nero set Rome ablaze and blamed the Christians, the Jewish leadership, which served as "the State" over Israel's religion, had launched its own persecution against the believers.

Just ask any of those murdered by Saul of Tarsus (unleashed on the believers by the Sanhedrin). In fact, it's hard and takes some thinking to actually find a time in Church history when some state leader or governmental system wasn't going after authentic believers.

Of course, there were breaks and rest periods here and there, but eventually, some state officials took a fancy to wiping out Catholics in his or their dominion, and voilà — prison, death, etc.

However, what makes the current situation largely unique is that today, the State that was founded on mostly Catholic principles is what is now attacking Catholics. And in a pretty new twist, that State is run by, you guessed it, Catholics. Of course, phony Catholics but baptized Catholics nonetheless.

And in what is a largely 21st-century phenomenon (owing to technology), that "State" is now universal like the Church it seeks to destroy. It has really come down to a battle between the universal Church and the universal anti-church (the State). Talk about not enough room in this town for both of us.

While Hell had to content itself with multiple states and empires here or there, scattered across the globe hither and yon, being used to attack the faithful, there was never a truly universal action against the Church — until now.

Simply put, the technology was just not up to it. Now, however, it is. All the global forces that exercise control over states are now able to link up and act as one combined force. That force is worldwide communism. Of course, it doesn't call itself that, but that's what it is.

No cross, no glory.

Increasingly, men of goodwill are realizing and saying out loud that America's decline is owing to losing a deep spiritual war. But even as that reality is coming into focus for many, others are abandoning religion in general, Christianity in particular and Catholicism specifically.

It hasn't quite hit desperation mode yet, but it has reached a level of high alert as various generic Christian groups, as well as some Catholics, take to social media and various public relations campaigns to peddle Christ and the Good News. The problem, however, is — put simply — it is Christ without the Cross that is being peddled: "cool" Jesus, "relevant" Christianity.

What's being presented — and consequently rejected — is a more worldly Christ: easy to relate to, a comfortable Christ, the answer to all your little problems. The world is rejecting this cozy Christ as the elixir to worldly problems precisely because the world provides much more stimulating solutions to the problems it creates.

You name it:

- Sex
- Porn
- Drugs
- Ego
- Power
- Money
- Fame

Comfortable Christ can't hold a candle to any of that. I mean, who wants to listen to the personal opinion of some preacher about what a passage from Scripture means when they can be getting high and having sex with whoever wants to hook up with them? In the end, the world and all its intoxications are much more appealing than Christ without His Cross.

How to destroy America.

Looking at the collapse of the culture as well as the Church, many people are left scratching their heads — especially those of us who grew up in a very different America.

But just as it's intellectually off base to blame the crisis in the Church on Pope Francis, it's just as off base to blame the collapse of the nation on just one or a few influencers.

The collapse of the Faith stretches back decades — many more decades than most people stop to consider.

For example, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two radical professors of sociology at Columbia University back in the 1960s. The aim of the husband–wife duo was to manufacture a crisis by overwhelming the welfare system with a flood of new applicants.

They correctly reasoned that this would force the government to adopt various policies that were radical leftist at their core, disguised as wanting to "help the poor."

Always beware of those who want to "help the poor," especially when they live in luxury. What we are witnessing in America today is their plan coming to fruition — actually, more than coming to fruition, nearing its completion.

The heart of the Cloward–Piven plan is this: violent revolution for the sake of socialism is not needed when, instead, you can simply so burden the welfare system that it collapses under its own weight.

Sexual deviancy is making people walk away from God's natural moral law.

I'm Michael Voris, reporting to you from the We The Patriots Conference in Boise, Idaho, held over this past weekend. If you happened to catch the Vortex yesterday, we posted our talk to the crowd from Friday.

Today, we'd like to do something that doesn't usually get reported, but to do that, we need to set the scene for you.

There are quite a few of these types of conferences around the country on a pretty regular basis. They are almost always heavily attended by politically conservative Protestants, perhaps a leftover from the days of Jerry Falwell's "moral majority" of the 1980s.

But regardless, there is no doubt that there is an extensive network, and even industry, of political-conservatism grassroots events like this around the nation. Much of the time, the same themes get hammered over and over again, like they should, because, while yes, you are speaking to the choir, it's also true that the choir needs rehearsal.
