Tell her of course she can. Make sure baby us changed, fed and asleep first. And when the baby wakes up 2 seconds into her shower don't bother checking the diaper or defrosting any milk for a bottle just stand outside the bathroom door holding the crying baby. The less you try to soothe the baby the quicker she will get out and you can go back to watching TV.
