(1) Bitcoin consumes a ton of electricity. (2) Bitcoin drives up the price of video cards for us rational people. (3) Bitcoin is easily traceable, which defeats the purpose. (4) You can double-spend Bitcoin, which again defeats the purpose. (5) Almost nobody honors boycotts of the thieves of Bitcoins, even though such people are easily traceable.
You have to be a real jerk to use Bitcoin. I mean, you have to be the kind of jerk that takes the free puppy and feeds it to your snake to use bitcoin. You have to be the kind of jerk that thinks Cruella De Vil is awesome for making a coat out of free puppies to use Bitcoin.
Don't get me wrong. Bitcoin should be legal. Anything that does not deprive others of life, liberty, property, or freedom through force, fraud, coercion, theft, or jewish tricks should be legal. You just have to be a real jerk to use it.

The timestamp and transaction data is the smallest part of it and is not the part that needs decrypting.
