I can't believe this needs to be explained to a stack of you (((idiots))). Every
post about covid symptoms I have seen on this site points to loss of taste and how this is some special symptom of covid. The media has you so warped that you do not even trust your own senses anymore
Taste and smell are intimately linked. If you have clogged sinuses and your nose is out of commission (which happens during cold and flu) you will have to rely on your tongue which only can differentiate between major taste types (bitter, sweet, salty), but unable to pick up nuances of food. Therefore making you feel like you have a loss of taste.

I lose my sense of taste and smell like 50% of the time when I’m sick. It’s a great time to lose those extra pounds that you’ve piled on. It’s at least annually for me so it works out great. Btw, this has happened my whole life and I keep testing negative for Covid antibodies - whatever that means.
Losing a sense of smell and taste isn’t special at all.
