It's the same all over the world. Or at least most of the West.
Actual stats reported as "covid-related deaths" with some fine print hidden away somewhere, saying that's anyone who died within 2-6 months of a positive PCR test. Actual cause of death irrelevant. Media reports these same numbers, but calls it "deaths caused by covid" or similar, even though that is an outright lie. Nobody does anything about it.
Likewise, "covid cases" are actually just "positive test results". Doesn't matter if it's someone in a hospital bed, or someone who never had any symptoms and only got tested because they were forced to in order to travel or for work. No attempt to separate one kind of "case" from the other. No attempt not to double count multiple test results for the same person. Every positive result is a "case". Now guess what happens when employers mandate weekly testing?
The whole thing is a complete sham, and it is clearly by design.
