Had to put down my dog today

Fuck cancer.

I don't really have social media outside of this place, and so I share with you a bit of my sorrow.

Today I lay you to rest,
with as many tears in my eyes
as all the years of selfless love you have given me
since I brought you home from the shelter

RIP little buddy.

Edit: thanks for the kind words internet friends. It does help some knowing others have gone through this as well.

God speed man. Take comfort in those years you had together. I lost a few dogs in my life and they all take a little part of my soul with them. I’m thinking of you and your loss and sending all the positive energy I can. To all the dogs who have brought us all unconditional love, thank you.
