I posted before about how my only local family banned me from Christmas get together because I'm not jabbed. Spoke to my real father a few hours ago, we only talk about once a month. He asked where I'm going for Christmas, and I told him nowhere and why. He almost started crying, OMG son why aren't you jabbed?

Fucking whole family I've know for almost 50 years are brainwashed. My best friend, and I don't have many is with me, anti-covid jab. He and wife just got it last week. Banned from work 10 days unpaid, 4 kids, 2 jabbed because of forceful work jabs, 2 not. Whole family is fine, and nothing serious.

I smoke like 2+ packs a day, and probably diabetic, but can't afford the medical tests and treatments. I drink a LOT, I'm wildly out of shape, and honestly don't give a fuck, but I am a bit concerned considering people in my condition seem the most likely to have a really bad reaction to the common cold.

weird part is over the years I've had really bad colds / flu laying me up for days. I haven't honestly had one of those in like 4 years. I've NEVER gotten a flu shot, and never gotten sick like the people with the flu shots have.

Sorry for the "reddit" format, I HATE wall-o-text, and like making things readable in quasi-paragraphs. I was on old voat from almost the day Ellen Pao took over reddit, and have been mostly a lurker like I am most everywhere. I'm not asking for pity, I'm not asking for anything, I just wanted to say this garbage in a place where no one gives a fuck, and maybe someone will read it. No agenda, no reason, just a place to freely speak my mind. That's why I am here, have been, and always will be.
