The greatest of tragedies in most people's educations is that they lack the lessons in philosophy to know how to think, how to examine, analyze, criticize, alter, improve upon, and combine ideas from disparate sources. The ignorance of the philosophical method is much more tragic than the ignorance of the scientific method, which is itself far more of a tragedy than the ignorance of civics and the engineering of political system designs, which is a massive tragedy in itself. So much needs to be changed in the common mind, a good future requires a new generation that can think, learn, argue, concur, and contribute to concepts and ideas, while thoroughly engaging with the existing ones they immerse themselves in.
There would be no civilisation without philosophy, the alternative is religion. Philosophy was born only once--in Ancient Greece. The nations that didn't buy into it are still shitholes today.
