I get ya. It's not malicious I don't think. I think it's kinda like they are the ex of someone, and every time their name gets brought up they just have to add how they are the scum of the earth. Maybe that is the nuanced opinion though? Some people hate Trump, for various reasons. Lots think he's the hero we deserve. Some think he is the hero he says he is. Is thinking it'd be neat if Trump was the man he pretends to be, but knowing he's not the nuanced opinion? To have a chuckle at the thing Trump did on TV. While still knowing it's just TV. Maybe that is what he was saying there. Not out of fear of the mean girls, but just letting everyone know his hopes for Trump have already been dashed, and he doesn't need the update. maybe.
