Will 20k cash even buy a decent used vehicle anymore?

I'm looking online and all of the used light SUVs are 25k+. Even as far back as 2017 models.

That being said, does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking a newer model Subaru outback.

Im looking for something that checks off everything in this list:

Decent fuel economy
Easy to fix/abundant spare parts in the US

Short list, I know.

I can go as high as 30k, but I wanted to stick to 20.

I member when I could buy a car for 400 bucks and it would last me a year or more.
It would be old , need some work , but nothing crazy.

I feel like people born in the 90s or later really have no idea of what a once fairly normal society we had at one time
