Heat kills you when you get too hot. Heatstroke is when you don't stay hydrated and stop sweating in order to conserve water, and your temperature rises to the point where nerve cells start dying. It can happen even if you're hydrated if the temps are high enough or the humidity is very high. Blood clotting? No, that's not how it works.
