Remembering air travel in the early 70s

Everyone dressed up, no shorts or tank tops, the minimum was dresses for the ladies and a sports jacket for men. Most wore suit and ties. 2 seats per aisle. Large comfortable seats, with ashtrays. Smoking was permitted after takeoff in the last 10 rows. No niggers or beaners. Not even stewardesses. They were white. A meal was served and it was above average fare. Might just be a sandwich and accoutrements, but freshly baked bread and fresh vegetables. Things used to be so good.

I flew on the Hindenberg before the hostilities when it was filled with Helium, the liquor and women were cheap and plentiful and we had a wonderbar of a time, we dined on ortalans and baby seal.
