Simple. Why are you told to yell "fire" rather than "rape" or "help". You crying out that you are being raped is not an alarm call to warn others, it is a plea for help. I am not in need of help, I am not being raped; Fire on the other hand does affect me. This is why your brain chooses words that will get the full attention of those that hear it. :)
