Not much to teach. On element you can just go to element.io and make an account, you'll need to find servers though, a lot of them are essentially invite only.
The fediverse is a bit easier, it's kinda like facebook except decentralised. Anyone can run an instance and they all connect together. If you're looking to make an account I'd suggest poast, they're probably the most widely used right wing instance.
