I have some ideas about giving the money back outside of just handing them the money back. Curious what people have to say about this, because I kind of don't want to do bets back and forth, since I'm not a betting man.

Men should never make bets they can't afford to lose or will regret later. He needs to take it on the chin, and you need to stop worrying about it. Just don't ever bring it up again.
