The flattard thinks they measured a 200km horizontal line from the start to finish. In reality, they dug down from sea level to the specified depth using dredging. That is, they built the canal in stages, building a small canal first, allowing it to fill with water, and then dredging the material from underneath the water. They then used the partially built, shallow canal to transport materials.
Repeat and dredge deeper until you have your fully built canal. If you dig x feet down below the water, well, as the flattards like to say, "Water find it's level", and magically you'll be x feet down all the way along the canal, even on a curved Earth.
Curvature of the earth = 0.08 x distance squared. 0.08 x 200 x 200 = 3.2km below the horizon line. Now get a laser, or a high zoom camera and show me the bloody curvature.
