9mm is about 10 shots for $3. A thousand people one at a time should only be about $300.
Propelling charges for artillery rounds have their prices obfuscated but an HE shell is $400 and the sources I'm seeing say the propellant is cheaper, most of the cost of 9mm is the lead anyway,
What I'm imagining is a waiting room(oy vey 5000 people packed in the showers) built into a hill or mountainside, with an artillery piece which can be loaded from outside, poking through a sealed hole into the room, a drop out floor above a pressure lock like Davinci's design for a canal and a pit below that dumptrucks can back into to receive a load of bodies.
No truckers on stand by waiting to move bodies, no ecological issues with millions of gallons of blood in a river way, no overtime, PTSD or related therapy costs for your trigger men. Simultaneously disprove the holocaust story by demonstrating proper efficiency. No employment costs and therapy costs for poor saps paid to move corpses. Far lower chance of a waiting line revolts. quick, scalable, bodies will be easily returned to soil or the ocean.
I think my idea is more cost efficient even with all the earthworks and engineering, the process bears repeating a whole lot either way developing a cleaner system with less room for human error is desirable.
