Back in like 1987. I had no idea any of them died of AIDS. In NYC, no one I have ever met in my travels has told me they watched NASCAR, so I don’t know shit about it. I imagine it is as popular up here as Bocce or something is down there.
He was the first "non Southerner" who had any real success. He was talented and was winning before he started getting sick. He and his team kept denying it was AIDS until after he passed.
