correct as it acts very similar to caffeine and can't be metabolized by dogs. in all my experiences the chocolate was refined and or milk and thus all the "added benefits" were likely removed during the refining. coffee as an example, light roasts have more caffeine than dark as caffeine and tons of other chemicals change or get burned off during roasting.
