Bro, that's wild. My friend lost her battle with cancer a couple years before all that. It was pretty fucked up. One minute she was laughing, the next minute she was on the floor. I watched EMS do chest compressions on her to no avail. We were celebrating my birthday and she just fell out. Non Hodgkin's lymphoma. That shit really did a number on me. I'm not sure why I survived the aftermath, it really wasn't by choice. I made an effort to OD and I still woke up the next day. That was thirteen years ago. I met the woman who would be my wife just a week after that and I haven't fucked around with opiates since, but that shit really fuckin broke something in me.
