Why do technology companies eventually become 'BIG TECH'?

CCDH is preparing their second attack, an attack on our 1st amendment right. Goal? KILL FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

I don't think Twitter/X fully supports freedom of speech, and while I don't support hate speech, I believe people should have the ability to see unhealthy content and simply ignore it; we are adults.

However, what's happening with Twitter/X gives me pause...
Why do technology companies eventually become 'BIG TECH'? They were the innovators, leading humanity to the next level and a better future.

I think we all know the answer:
Powerful entities and governments are behind them; they are the true RULERS. Everyone needs to obey them.

Centralized platforms make it easy for them to be controlled by a single person, a powerful entity, a country.
We need to move forward to a decentralized network. It is UNSTOPPABLE and RESISTANT to CENSORSHIP.

Social media alternatives: Nostr & WireMin.

Do you really think social media platforms like WireMin can replace Twitter?

They do claim to be a Twitter alternative on their website (http://wiremin.org/), but from my perspective, WireMin is too privacy-focused and lack that vibe as a social media platform. It is more suitable for use as a secure messenger.
