I spooked up on a yearling just now and it scrambled down a tree and ran off in the woods. Someone has been feeding them in my neighborhood -I have a neighbor that thinks it's cute to see them come out of the woods to snack on the piles of black oil seed he leaves on the ground for them. They already scattered my trash in the woods, fucking pigs of the woods. I love the bears, but if you are going to set the expectation with them that your house is a food source, expect them to act accordingly and they can be unpredictable. One thing is for certain; they are POWERFUL animals and if you end up on the wrong end of their bad day, feeding them won't seem so cute anymore
