Took apart the air fryer with my boy (3). It took all evening and we removed every screw on the entire thing. Turns out they are just heating elements with some fans. I actually like them as cooking devices but I have never used one. He loved it and we found a lot of cool parts. 2 light bulbs, 2 metal fan blades, a nice pot, heating element for burning the house down later, and a bell on a timer which was a huge hit. Maybe we will get the lights hooked up to some 9v batteries next, with our timer bell switch of course. Ding!
Don't forget to spend some time with your kids. Not everyone gets the opportunity and you can't ever get it back.
They are literally a rebranded counter-top convection oven, except instead of calling a "toaster oven" they decided that by marketing it as a "fryer" without oil would whip all the smooth-brains into a frenzy about the latest greatest product.
And yes, toaster ovens, whatever you call them, are just miniature convection ovens, and are awesome and quick and won't fill your food with free radicals unlike a microwave.
