Before I had to take an extended break, I fucked around with various setups. I have a Baggs preamp/DI but it made no difference in level or tone, either mic'd or direct. No combination of anything was working until this-I remembered I have a little TubePre preamp with just 1 tube in it. Guitar>mic>tube preamp>solid state acoustic amp. Volume and tone for days.
