They added a policy that will ban you if you upvote violent content and I guess what they are implying there is that it was the fault of individual redditors and they themselves weren't actively pumping up anything and everything that called for assassination. Who knows though, but people don't change like that.

There does appear to be fewer calls for assassination now. Today all I found was scraps.
