The METAL scene in the 1980s. Good lord, so many cheap drugs and loose women. Had I known it would all be down hill from there I would have just gone out with a bang!
What really blows my mind is that those exact people went on to birth and then raise the generations that would turn out to be the entitled, self centered pack of whiners that we're faced with today.
I stopped telling my kids about all the hardcore drug and alcohol fueled insanity that we used to get up to when I realized that rather than setting an example for them to aspire to they were in fact using my stories to make lists of things they would never ever do. And now their idea of fun is chasing likes on-line.
