I do simple dumbbell from the floor to the ceiling workouts at home which double slightly as a squat. From what I can tell I can really only hold about 35-45 lbs in each hand for the entire duration of the 10 minute workout. So leg wise I could use more weight.
Also I'm figuring it might be good for push ups and calf raises etc. Maybe even for running.
That depends on what your training goals and budget are. However, before you open up your wallet for that you should first go for long walks with heavy weight in a backpack first. You'll want to see how well your joints hold up to the additional weight, especially your knees. Most guys who lift have some free weight plates to work with and old backpacks to dig up for this sort of thing.
