The problem here is that you don't seem to understand the difference between mRNA and a spike protein made by a cell which has had its DNA rewritten with mRNA. mRNA can not be ingested and remain intact. Spike proteins can. They are not the same thing. mRNA must enter the bloodstream directly to be taken up by cells and transcribed into DNA.
