I live in a quiet old neighborhood not far from farmlands - full of older conservative whites with Hispanic renters. Thanks to the democrats, there is section 8 housing on the outskirts of town.
Anyway, my neighbors car was broken into over night and I heard the alarm. Police were outside this morning. Now, as much as I'd like to put on a ghillie suit and camp out in my driveway to merc the niggers trying to break into my truck, I'd like to ask for more practical advice. My wife and I made sure to remove anything of value in the cars and will be leaving the porch lights on. Thinking of installing cameras.
look for choke points into your area where they would potentially come in, then put in some high end cell modem trail cams that have solar charging. I setup a ring with a solar pad for my mom on the roof of her house, I never had to charge it or touch it for 3 years+.
if you really wanna catch em' all, you'll start noting which cars are coming in at night by license plate, kinda like an LPR database. Use excel. Plate, Make Model Year, any idetifying marks like dents/stickers/modifications.
Then figure out who's who. You can tell who doesn't live there if they come in and out the same night.
Just make sure the cams can capture the car clearly, and face is a bonus.
and obviously any dickhead biking in at night is going to be stealing.
Once you have that for a few weeks, you'll have some stats. I don't know enough about AI, but you could probably just drop those photos into an AI thingy and it will do the license plate/make/model/year thing for you.
