The real answer is: a character in christian mythology whose identity is more accurately attributed to fan fiction - like this video - written throughout the years than any actual biblical reference.
While I agree that there is a great deal of bogus mythological ‘fan fiction’ associated with the Archangel, I believe that there is more given in scripture than appears at first sight, and I think that this video is an excellent investigation of that.
