You guys can dispute the science stuff to your hearts' content. It doesn't really matter because the relevant distinction is not and has never been a scientific measure. Are all Britons a good statistical representation of Europeans? No. But why doesn't anybody care for this purpose? Because Britons symbolize what we need them to symbolize. The science is being used to pin reasons to something that isn't scientific.
And that's not really a problem. We don't need it to be scientific. Does anyone envision a race war or a racially segregated world depending on swabbing our gums to determine groupings?
It's ideological. So just realize that everyone arguing about this is pretty much the equivalent of religious people arguing about the number of angels on the head of a pin. Nobody really needs FST to know we're a different species than SS niggers. Nobody concerned about race has ever really depended on that stat for this purpose, and appeals to it are just a reason we deploy to cope with accusations (from the other side) that our beliefs are primitive and uneducated.
At some point, the wise will realize these apologetics are like the wrapping paper on candy. Who fuckin cares. At the end of the day, you're tearing it off to get to the center IF any of it means anything. The center is violence. So, if @PostWallHelena and @Tallest_Skil want to fight about this, that's no problem. Just realize that neither of you are defending a concept of species that is valid (for any users similar to us) in virtue of being scientifically valid.
The meaning of the concept species is determined by its use and value for its users. Suppose the entire world - literally every scientist - signed a document consisting of a definition of species to be used universally in the biological sciences.
If it fails to be useful for us to distinguish between SS niggers and ourselves, we'll find a different concept. It seems to me that the whole point of bringing in these terms is to have something seemingly absolute that will convince non-believers if they hear it. If those skeptics could just hear a cogent defense of the claim "SS niggers are literally a different species (yada yada)", then if convinced, these skeptics will suddenly become racists.
No! Everyone is using species the way it suits them. For many academics, it is useful to avoid differentiating human animals using the same criteria as we'd apply to non-human species. It allows us to tell a whole bunch of other stories about the differences between human groups that employ tens of thousands of other academics in the social sciences and humanities. There's no "non-human humanities" right? There's no cultural or socioecnomic stories to tell about why that group of squirrels did better than this group. Nobody actually wants to reduce human beings to genetic stories. It doesn't suit anybody's goals. Not theirs, not ours.
Nobody here thinks an FST calculation makes a god damned bit of difference when it comes to the relevant facts. If it was proven to you all, using the right kind of demonstration in the right scientific vocabulary, that the genetic distance between whites and niggers was minimal...guess what would change? Nothing. We'd just find different ways of talking.
