The biblical god also loved his gold, so much that he ordered the "arc of the covenant" to be covered in it...also, a chain of gold was placed about Joseph's neck ( Genesis 41:42 ); and one was promised to ( Daniel 5:7 ). It is used as a symbol of sovereignty (Ezek. 16:11 ). The breast-plate of the high-priest was fastened to the ephod by golden chains ( Exodus 39:17 Exodus 39:21 )....and there is more...what flares my nostrils is how gold/money is demonized yet the poor (useless eaters) are so in need of it (free gibs) and the "Haves" should give to the "Have nots" and expect nothing in return other than acknowledgement from God, maybe purchase a spot in the "Book of Life", you know, that big ledger that God has to refer to come judgment day because he wasn't paying attention to all that was happening here on earth...no name no heaven...MONEY IS NOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, THE LACK OF MONEY IS.
