This is just from last week, but somehow it has been missed. In similar but only slightly related news, it looks like United Methodist membership is shrinking drastically, while Global Methodist numbers are growing. Homosexuality is not as popular as they want everyone to believe.

They also called for legislators to curtail sports betting and to support policies that promote childbearing. The votes Tuesday came at the gathering of more than 10,000 church representatives at the annual meeting of the nation’s largest Protestant denomination."

The easy solution is to not involve the state in your personal contracts.
Marriage certificates are against marriage as God created it, which is between one man and one woman; not between a man, a woman and the state.
