I'm not sure if this is some lame ass joke but I will think you are being honest

First. you did nothing wrong and the fact you tried is all that matters

I rather you at least get off your ass and try instead of sitting down eating a pizza or chugging down sugar water

I have no doubt you can double the amount of pushups within 8 months

the best thing that helped me when I started working out was a good Diet and going for walks at state parks. 3 weeks I basically lost all my extra fat and Was only gaining muscle really quickly
